Love Yams

Fall is in the air and you are going to FALL into love with these yams.  It is the simplest recipe, yet so nourishing to the body and soul.  There is nothing quite like the smell of yams roasting in the oven.  It reminds me of being in my grandmother's kitchen on Thanksgiving Day as she prepared one of my favorite dishes... yams with roasted marshmallows on top.  I couldn't handle that level of sweet today.  Trust me, these yams are sweet enough, as is.  Prepare this perfect fall dish with an extra dose of love for your friends and family.

Love Yams

PREP TIME: 10 minutes
DIFFICULTY: Easy
COOK TIME: 45 minutes
SERVINGS: 6 Servings

  • 5-6 yams
  • 2 tablespoons of coconut oil
  • 1 teaspoon of garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon of sea salt
Preheat oven to 450 degrees. Cut yams into 2 inch rounds and place in a 9x11 glass baking dish. Melt coconut oil and drizzle over yams. Sprinkle with garlic powder and sea salt. Bake in the center of the oven for 45 minutes stirring occasionally.
